Course Description:
The Electromechanical Technician is a distance education certificate program that consists of 24 modules of interactive curriculum using text, video, audio, 2D and 3D animations, and laboratory simulation software. This DVD or USB-based multimedia program includes pretests, interactive exercises, sample exams, and online technical and tutorial support to help prepare you for online computer-based final exams.
The program covers an introductory curriculum in electronics while also emphasizing mechanical systems. Contents of the program include Current, Voltage, Resistance, Ohm's Law, Parallel and Series Circuits, Magnetism, Industrial Control Devices, AC/DC Circuits Capacitance, Inductance, Transformers, Transducers, AC Motors & Drives, Inductance process Controls, Semiconductors, Amplifiers, Op Amps, Digital Electronics, and PLCs.

The Electromechanical Technician Certificate program prepares graduates of the program for employment and/or further on-the-job training as a service technician in the field of consumer, commercial, and industrial electronics. It will enable students to provide technical support and service during the production, installation, operation, and repair of electrical equipment and systems.

Completing the Course:
You must score at least 60 percent on the final exam in order to pass the course. You will receive a Certificate of Completion from Valencia College within thirty (30) days.
