Description

Program Overview:
The Conversational Portuguese program is a series of four 21-hour courses designed for beginner level students. In this series, participants will practice all four skills of communication: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Grammar will also be a program component.

Course Description:
This course is designed for students with little to no previous Portuguese instruction. In the first class, students will participate in a Language Learning Orientation, which includes information on how to study a language, plus Portuguese pronunciation, and clarification phrases needed to communicate in the classroom. The remaining lessons introduce students to a variety of contexts and situations needed to communicate effectively in the real world. In addition, students will be introduced to the Brazilian culture throughout the lessons in English.
