Description

Valencia’s Advanced Specialized Training for Fire offers classes to help you update your Fire knowledge. Instruction is given on the most recent updates, newest topics and latest equipment.

Vehicle and Machinery Rescue (VMR): Operations is a 40-hour hands-on class with 10% classroom and 90% field work. The subjects covered will include the anatomy of a passenger vehicle, scene control, safety, special hazards, patient care, controlling hazards and tool lab.

Students perform extensive extrication with hand tools, stabilization equipment and hydraulic tools.
The course is designed to strictly meet NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006. Upon completion of VMR: Operations the student will be eligible to enroll in VMR: Technician

Students are required to provide their own personal protective equipment, including bunker gear, Nomex hood, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toed boots

NOTE: Rope Operations is not a preqrequisite for this Technical Rescue discipline.
