Program Overview
Interested in learning how to weld as a hobbyist or artist, or just want to take your current welding skills to a new level? Valencia College’s new Weekend Welding Warrior Program has been designed to help participants learn the basics of at-home welding at an introductory level, in as little as a few weekends.

What’s Included?
This level includes 18 hours of hands on training focused on the following topics:
• Welding Safety
• Weld Joint Designs
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG welding)
• Oxy-fuel Cutting
• Plasma Arc Cutting

Participants will utilize the skills learned in this workshop to fabricate three take home projects. The projects will consist of:
• 1 fabricated vice to utilize Gas Metal Arc Welding Skills
• 1 metal silhouette of your choice, cut out with an Oxy-Acetylene torch
• 1 metal cut out of a design of your choice utilizing plasma arc cutting

Our workshop is designed for a maximum of 10 students to allow for one on one instruction with our highly experienced instructors.
