Description

When you think of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) think “work zone traffic control”.
In the most practical terms, MOT is needed to ensure both workers and the public can work in or travel through a work zone without getting injured.
Effective MOT involves planning, design, supervision, implementation and maintenance of various work zone traffic control devices. In order to accomplish this properly, trained and competent workers are needed.

Advanced and Advanced Refresher- This course is required for personnel with duties that include any of the following activities:
• Engineer responsible for work zone traffic control development
• Worksite traffic supervisor

Valencia College is an approved provider for the Florida Department of Transportation Advanced Maintenance of Traffic Course. Students who successfully complete the Advanced MOT course will receive FDOT recognized qualification, valid for four (4) years.
